A long time favorite of print shops because they came at regular interval, the newsletter disappeared with the advance of the electronic format. They became one more email to read for most subscribers and ended up in spam folders or in the delete folder without being open. For the past couple of years we are seeing a resurgence of newsletters being printed and often mailed to members. Slightly more costly than the electronic version, printed version are often read and sometimes archived for future reference.
